Product Description

Biocon offers a wide range of comprehensive care which includes imicelum. Composition: each vial contains imipenem ip eq. To anhydrous imipenem - 500 mg, cilastatin sodium usp eq. To cilastatin - 500 mg, sodium bicarbonate ip added as buffer. Mechanism of action: the bactericidal activity of imipenem is from inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding-protein (pbp?s) resulting in cell lysis. Indications: lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gyneacologic infections, bacterial septicemia
