Product Description

Biocon offers a wide range of comprehensive care which includes hepdoze 300mg tabs. Composition: each film coated tablet contains: tenofovir disoproxil fumarate ip 300mg. Mechanism of action: tenofovir disoproxil (prodrug) is hydrolysed rapidly to tenofovir, subsequently phosphorylated by cellular kinases to its active metabolite, tenofovir diphosphate, an obligate chain terminator. It inhibits the activity of viral reverse trancriptase enzyme by competing with natural substrate deoxyadenosine 5` -triphosphate, and after incorporation into dna, by dna chain termination. Indications: chronic hepatitis b in adults and pediatric patients 12 years and older, in combination with other antiretroviral agents, for the treatment of hiv-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients 2 years and older
