Product Description

Biocon offers a wide range of metabolic which includes insugen 50/50 refil ?. Composition: insulin biphasic, 50% soluble and 50% nph ? 3 ml cartridge of 100 iu/ml strength. In use stability: 42 days/6 weeks. Mechanism of action: insulin opens the cell receptors for glucose molecules to enter, which in turn, is utilized in the form of energy (atp) to carry out the various activities by the body. It starts its action 30 min - 1 hr after injection. 50% soluble insulin attains its peak level 2 hrs after injection and 50% of nph reaches its peak approximately 6 - 8 hrs after injection, remaining in the body for about 10 - 12 hrs. Indications: to control both fasting and post-prandial plasma glucose levels in patients with diabetes
