I Holland showcases its latest tooling products at PharmaConex

The comprehensive range of punches and dies on display will include I Holland’s recently developed, XDF (eXtended Dwell Flat) punches.

Celebrating 70 years as experts in tabletting science, supplying punches and dies to the pharmaceutical industry throughout the world, I Holland will demonstrate its latest tooling products to the Egyptian and African market at PharmaConex in Egypt, 19–21 April.

The comprehensive range of punches and dies on display will include I Holland’s recently developed, XDF (eXtended Dwell Flat) punches. This newly patented elliptical punch head form has been designed to increase dwell time on an existing table press, eliminating any time-consuming and expensive requirements for press modifications. The XDF has been produced to enable higher press speeds, enhance tablet compaction and cohesion and reduce the propensity for sticking, while increasing the dwell time by up to 50% over a standard punch head.

I Holland will also feature its range of long-standing tooling products that include multi-tips, PharmaCote treatments and coatings and bellows and drip cups.

Another new product, the IH-TMS Tool Management System will also be available for demonstration. This innovative software ensures the proactive monitoring of tool rotations, tooling inventory and maintenance. The IH-TMS is easy to use with a simple touch-screen interface that alerts the user if there is over compression or if tooling replacements or scheduled maintenance is required.

Along with the advanced capability to archive tool images and drawings, the 21-CFR part 11 compliant system also retains a complete audit trail and record of tablet quantities by number of tablets, work order or batch information to ensure the user remains up-to-date on all processes.
