Product Description

Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, (6RS)-N5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolic Acid Calcium Salt (5-MeTHF), is suitable for oncological and nutritional use. Can also be subscribed for treatment of depressive disorders.

A characteristic property which distinguishes N5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolic Acid Calcium Salt from other Reduced Folates is that it can cross the brain blood barrier. This has significance for example, in cases of treatment for depression. It is also subscribed for both oncological and nutritional use as other Reduced Folates.

USE
5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolic Acid Calcium Salt (5-MeTHF) is prescribed for anemic indications. In particular, it is recommended in cases of Folate deficiencies, especially for the health of the elderly, children and women. For anemic symptoms Oral Dosage Forms are usually administered.
5-Methyl-tetrahydrofolic Acid Calcium Salt (5-MeTHF), is thus suitable for oncological and nutritional use.
