HUFORAZONE(Cefoperazone 1g)

Cefoperazone is used in the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria which are resistant to common beta-lactam antibiotics. Cefoperazone is indicated for the treatment of the following infections: mainly for biliary tract infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, skin and skin structures infections, bone and joint infections, urinary tract and renal infections, pelvic inflammatory disease and gynecological infections, peritonitis and other intra-abdominal infections, bacterial septicemia, gonorrhea. Dosage: (1) For Adult: 2g to 4 g per day administered in equally divided doses every 12 hours, In severe infections or infections caused by less sensitive organism, the total daily dose and/ or frequency may be increased,Patients have been successfully treated with a total daily dosage of 6 to 12 grams divided into 2, 3 or 4 administrations ranging from 1.5 to 4grams per dose, (2) For Neonate & Children: 50 to 200mg/kg/day administered in equally divided into 2 to 4 administrations, Do not mix with Lidocaine for using to children under 30 months, (3) For Patients with renal failure: In patients with estimated creatinine clearance of less than 18 mL/min, maximum dosage is 4g/day.
