WHO Promotes Rational Use of Medicines

A programme launched in India by WHO aims to promote students' reasonable adoption of medicines.

With an attempt to spread awareness among the students about the rational use of drugs in India WHO has started its promotion programme for students to advocate appropriate usage.

The programme is being carried out through the Delhi Society for Promotion of Rational Use of Drugs (DSPRUD), which has been active in the field of spreading awareness on rational use of medicines. The project is being carried out in two phases – phase I essentially being the preparatory work and the latter being the execution of the awareness programme, a spokesperson of the DSPRUD said.
