Biocon offers a wide range of metabolic which includes piodart 15. Composition: pioglitazone 15mg & 30mg tablets. Mechanism of action: pioglitazone exerts its pharmacological effects by acting as a potent and highly selective agonist for the peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-gamma. Activation of these receptors promotes the transcription of several insulin responsive genes that help control lipid metabolism and glucose levels. Indications: in the treatment of type ii diabetes mellitus at risk of macrovascular disease, improved insulin action with favorable effects on lipid levels
