Product Description

Biocon offers a wide range of immunotherapy which includes picon. Composition: pimecrolimus cream 1% w/w. Mechanism of action: pimecrolimus selectively inhibit the inflammatory cytokines and production of both th1-type and th2-type of t cells, as well as mast cells and langerhans cells. It also acts on keratinocytes and enhances the production of anti-microbial peptides. It iinhibits eosinophil superoxide anion production and edn release associated with calcium mobilization. Indications: pimecrolimus l% cream is indicated as second line therapy for the short term and non-continuous chronic treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis in non-immunocompromised adults and children two years and above, who have failed to respond adequately to other topical prescription treatments, or when those treatments are not advisable
