New tool for live cell imaging launched

A new toll has been launched for live cell imaging.

A new tool for live cell imaging has been announced by Cellectis bioresearch - a subsidiary of Cellectis Group.
VizuCELL cell lines is set to help with the study of temporal and spatial dynamic processes in living cells in a bid to gain greater insight into morphological changes and physiological events in real time.
The tool has been generated by the company's proprietary TALEN technology to mark endogenous genes with a fluorescent signal controlled by the endogenous promoter.
According to Cellectis bioresearch, the product line is comprised of a number of cell lines in imaging, and it is hoped it will enable the unambiguous visualisation of cell organelles and the cytoskeleton.
It is expected the obtained information will mirror models closer to real life because of its stable endogenous protein expression, with VizuCell said to be suitable for non-invasive long-term monitoring.
Collectis has, to date, formed more than 20 academic research partnerships and established over 50 agreements with pharmaceutical labs, seed producers and biotech companies.
