NEOCEXONE(Ceftriaxone 1g)

Product is indicated for the treatment such as: (1) Respiratory infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, (2) Ear, nose and throat infections, (3) Renal and urinary tract infections, (4) Septicaemia, meningitis,Peri-operative prophylaxis of infections, (5) Bones and joints infections, skin, skin structure and soft tissue infections, (6) Peritonitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, gastrointestinal infections, (7) Sexual infections such as gonorrhea, (8) Infections in hypoimmunitic patients, Dosage: (1) For Adult and children twelve years: 1-2g (potency) as ceftriaxone sodium may be administered once daily as a single dose I,M or I,V, It may be increased to 4g (potency) once per day in the infections by pathogenic organisms causing severe diseases or sensitivity, (2) For Neonates: In the neonates (within the first 14 days of life), it is administered 20-50mg (potency)/kg once daily and should not be exceeded 50mg (potency)/kg body weight, There is no need to differentiate in dosage between premature and mature babies, (3) For Infants and Children (the first 15 days of life to twelve years): The recommended dose is 20-80mg (potency)/kg given once a day, In the children over 50kg or more, it is given usual dose of adults, Doses of 50mg/kg or over should be given by slow intravenous infusion over at least 30 minutes. (4) For Gonorrhea: It is recommended to administer 250mg (potency) I.M as a single dose for the treatment of gonorrhea caused by penicillin- sensitive and resistant strains. (5) For Prophylaxis of peri-operative infections: It is desirable to administer 1 - 2g (potency) as a single dose at 30 - 90 minutes before operation to prevent postoperative infections in surgical operations which was contaminated or have potential to contaminate. Operating colorectum, it is effective to give this preparation with 5-nitroimidazole (e.g. ornidazole) separatively and simultaneously. Package : 1 g/vial , 10vials/box.
