Composition: each vial contains cefepime hydrochloride ip equivalent to cefepime - 1000 mg, tazobactam sodium equivalent to tazobactam - 125 mg. Mechanism of action: cefepime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefepime has a broad spectrum activity that encompasses a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Indications: cefepime and tazobactam combination is used for following indications: for the treatment of uncomplicated and complicated urinary tract infections, uncomplicated skin and skin structure infections, complicated intra-abdominal infections
