Product Description

Biocon offers a wide range of oncotherapeutic which includes canmab. Composition: trastuzumab concentrate in lyophilised powder form for reconstitution. Mechanism of action: it is a recombinant monoclonal antibody specifically targeting human epidermal growth factor receptors (her 2) which are overexpressed on tumor cells of certain malignancies. By targeting her2 receptors, trastuzumab inhibits cell proliferation in these tumors via antibody dependent cellular toxicity, inhibiting formation of truncated her2 receptors, interfering with downstream signaling pathway and inhibiting neo-angiogenesis. Indications: it is currently indicated for the treatment of her2 overexpressing metastatic breast cancer
