Biocon offers a wide range of immunotherapy which includes calpsor. Composition: calcipotriol ip 0.005% w/w, in neutral ointment base q.s. Mechanism of action: calcipotriol is a synthetic vitamin d3 analogue with varied pharmacological activities, and which has a high binding affinity to the vitamin d receptor (vdr). Vitamin d receptors have been demonstrated in epidermal keratinocytes, melanocytes, dermal fibroblasts and many other cell types. Indications: mild to moderate plaque psoriasis
