WCCT announces new population recruitment tool

WCCT has developed a new tool to help recruit patients to clinical trials.

WCCT Global, a contract research organisation (CRO) specialising in Phase I to IV biopharmaceutical and medical device trials, has unveiled a new tool to help with population recruitment.

The Recruitment Management Tool can be used to enrol volunteers in early and late phase clinical studies.

Recruiting the right participants is crucial for the success of clinical trials, but something that the company said is often overlooked.

The tool allows it to meet the needs of its partner firms, whether they are running competitive or non-competitive recruitment in any region of the US.

It comprises a special algorithm that allows recruiters to target specific patients by geographic region or diagnostic category.

Lee Barsky, vice president of programme management, said: "I truly believe our new recruitment tool is raising the bar for all Contract Research Organisations' recruitment efforts.

"We are now able to precisely target the required resources to recruit specific patient populations anywhere in the US in record time."
