UK's CMO Awarded Pharma Supply Contract for Injectable Products

Two UK-based pharmaceutical firms have signed a supply contract for filling, packaging and testing of three injectable products.

UK-based pharmaceutical contract manufacturing organisation SCM Pharma has received a commercial supply contract from Alliance Pharma, a specialty pharmaceutical company,  to provide filling, packaging and testing of three injectable products.

The products include Edrophonium, used in the diagnosis of myasthenia gravis, Isoniazid, used as a first-line anti-tuberculosis prevention and treatment, and Pentagastrin, a diagnostic test for medullary carcinoma of the thyroid.

Edrophonium and Isoniazid will be supplied in terminally sterilized ampoules, while Pentagastrin will be aseptically filled into ampoules using isolator technology at SCM Pharma’s MHRA-licensed UK-based facility.
