Raw materials:Porcine or beef thymus from animals controlled by an official veterinarian and found fit for human consumption. Bovine raw materials are obtained solely from countries recognized as having a negligible /or controlled BSE-risk in accordance with OIE, Chapter 11.5 of the Terrestrial Code.Description

Thymus is a small glandular organ that is situated behind the top of the breastbone, consisting mainly of lymphatic tissue and serving as the site of T cell differentiation. The thymus increases gradually in size and activity until puberty, undergoing involution thereafter.

Until the early sixties, the thymus gland was thought to play its main role in the growth of children. Today it is well known that the thymus gland also has an influence on the development and control of our immune system and helps us maintaining a better overall health.

UseThese days there are many factors that can lower our immune system efficiency and make us more susceptible to all forms of diseases: intake of alcohol, smoking, many prescription drugs, high cholesterol levels, excessive sugar consumption, allergies, food additives and stress. Double-blind studies reveal that orally administered Thymus Extracts are not only able to effectively eliminate infection but that treatment over the course of a year significantly reduces the number of infections and improves numerous immune parameters.

The thymic hormonal levels are often low in people suffering from cancer and through clinical trials it has been proven that the beneficial effect of Thymus Extract can improve the immune system in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.

When growing older the Thymus gland undergoes shrinkage. This shrinkage leads to a reduction of the Thymus function. Using Thymus Extract together with important vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, C, and E, Selenium and Zinc will support and improve the Thymus gland function.

Thymus Extracts are available as a defatted vacuum or lyophilized powder.

Both oral qualities for tablets and capsules as well as qualities prepared for injection are available. An oral liquid quality can also be supplied.
