Across the globe, API manufacturing continues to be impacted by multiple forces including regulators increasing scrutiny, growing costs, and pushing traceability downstream. The industry is also experiencing increased competition, price sensitivity and the need for differentiation through efficiency, regulatory compliance or building new capabilities in biosimilars, HPAPI or ADCs for example.
In this session, we will discuss:Alicia Xaka has over 18 years working in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, mainly in the areas of Business Development, Project Management and Marketing. Currently she is the Associate Director, Business Development (US & Canada) for Procos SpA, a CDMO located in Italy, focused in the development, scale up and manufacturing of small molecule API and HPAPI. Alicia is responsible for leading the growth activities for the US subsidiary, Procos USA, supporting both Generic API and custom manufacturing business units. Prior to that Alicia worked with Flavine North America and Olympus Surgical, and as a Consultant. She holds a degree from Rutgers University in NJ.
Molly Bowman has over fifteen years of expertise in the life sciences industry and has worked across the pharmaceutical development lifecycle. Her work involves examining trends and delivering insights to global pharmaceutical companies, regulatory bodies, and consultancies. She previously oversaw the collection, alignment and integration of information focused on active ingredient manufacturing, clinical drug development, US healthcare payers and US medical supply distribution. In her current role, she collaborates with clients to address the ever-evolving dynamics of global supply chains.
As both a journalist and analyst, Mike has been writing, analyzing and commenting on the life sciences industry for more than 35 years. His actionable insights and analysis support pharma, biotech, healthcare and medtech stakeholders gain a deeper understanding of market news and trends.
Gunjan Singh heads the Mature Markets (US, Europe, Canada, Mexico, CIS) Sales for Dr. Reddy's. He also heads the Strategy and Product Management functions. Previously, he worked as CEO of Wanbury Ltd. Prior to that, he managed the API Business at Jubilant Pharma and Sales and Marketing at Piramal Pharma Solutions. Before his foray into pharma, Gunjan worked as a strategy consultant with Accenture Consulting. He has managed portfolio, strategy, BD, sales and P&L in various capacities and has worked across APIs, formulations and CDMO.
