SON S.A.S.: functionalization of nanoparticles

Jérémy Paris, founder and CEO of SON S.A.S. describing the technology of SON nanomaterials.

Specializing in the design and production of nanoparticles, SON S.A.S. is an engineering company whose goal is to facilitate the integration of nanotechnologies in the various fields it operates in. A nearly unique process in France, and one that is increasingly becoming more widespread.

It is a field that deals with the infinitely small. "We work at the nanometric scale. That's one 100 000 times smaller than a human hair," explains Jérémy Paris, co-founder of SON S.A.S., which designs and manufactures nanoparticles for various applications.
But what sets this young startup from Dijon (France) apart is that it has invented so-called bifunctional nanoparticles, meaning they serve two functions and offer high reproducibility. These nanoparticles are then used in various sectors such as healthcare, chemistry, water depollution, and agrotechnology.

"For example, in the healthcare sector, they are used in cancer treatments but also for imaging technologies like MRIs," explains Jérémy Paris.

"We also work with nanocatalysts to accelerate chemical reactions."A growing market Present in both the French and international markets for two years, SON S.A.S. was developed over several years within the University of Burgundy. "Our mission is to assist our clients in adopting nanotechnologies within their fields. This begins with understanding the concept of nano and the importance of these technological solutions. We can then facilitate their integration," says Jérémy Paris.
