    Carlo Riccini is Director of the Research Center and Head of the Small Industry Office of Farmindustria. Graduated in Statistics and Economics at La Sapienza University and Master in Economics at Bocconi University, after serving in the Italian Army as an Officer, he worked in Federchimica from 2000 to 2005. Since 2005 he has been working at Farmindustria, where in particular he is responsible for the economic analyses and statistical publications of the Association. He represents Farmindustria at an international level in the economic working groups of Efpia and at a national level as a member of the Board of Faschim.

    Paola Vella graduated in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies and completed her academic background by attending a full time Master on IP. She worked as patent attorney for a law firm and she has been dealing with protection and valorization of translational medicine results in the Life Sciences sector since 2013, also encompassing start-up creation and partnership with pharma companies. Starting from September 2021, Paola is Technology Transfer Officer at Humanitas.
