Product Description

Description: White to creamy white hygroscopic powder or flakes

Physical Properties : Copolymer of different proportion of vinylpyrrolidone to vinyl acetate can be offered in powder or alcohol solution product. The aqueous product could be cloudy. The clarity of the solution depends on the proportion of vinylpyrrolidone to vinyl acetate. The solution is slight acidic but not electrolytic.

Applications: Binder (moisture sensitive exposure), Melt Extrusion.

Cosmetics: PVP/VA series products play a good role as film-former and hair-fixing agent. Its hydrophobia decreases with the increase in the proportion of vinyl acetate in the molecular. This property is extremely useful for PVP/VA as hair sprays and hair set lotion. If being used with PVP K30, the effect would be enhanced.

Other Utility: Remoistenable adhesive and other adhesives for paper. Viscosity-enhancing agent and protecting colloid for printing ink. Binder in coatings(paints) and protecting colloid for printing ink. Binder in coatings(paints) and stabilizer for the dispersion of dyeing. Film coatings agent in pharmaceutical industry.
