Product Description

The first formulation of Paclitaxel that were marketed based on Cremaphor owing to its poor solubility in water. However the limitations in terms of particle size and the side effects of Cremaphor, this formulation is not used as widely as it was earlier especially after the advent of NAB-Paclitaxel or Abraxane as it is known. This formulation is based on use of Nano particles of Paclitaxel bound to albumin. The use of albumin is to ensure that the cancer cell is targeted as the cancer cells show an affinity for albumin.
