According to the WHO (World Health Organization) 15% of the population experience from some form of a disability, and the number is expected to grow as populations age and chronic health conditions become more prevalent. This is one of the main reasons why the pharmaceutical packaging industry plays a critical role in ensuring that patients of all abilities can access and use medications safely and effectively. With a DEI lens, we will explore the unique challenges the pharmaceutical packaging industry faces when designing accessible packaging.
