Simon has a BSc in Chemistry from Durham University and a PhD in Biopolymer Mixtures from Cranfield University. He then undertook postdoctoral positions at the University of Cambridge, Queen Mary University of London and UCL School of Pharmacy. On leaving academia he joined Lipoxen as a research scientist developing therapeutic protein-polysaccharide conjugates. This was followed by five years working as a Senior Scientist at Abbott Laboratories in the global oral drug products group. He then moved in to a commercial role and spent ten years as the Pharmaceutical Sales Manager for Ashland Specialty Ingredients with responsibility for the UK & Ireland. Before joining ACG in March 2022 he held the position of Pharmaceutical Sales Manager for Barentz UK. He is a Chartered Chemist, Chartered Scientist and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and also a member of the Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences for which he is the co-chair of the Material Science Focus Group.

Jnanadeva has been associated with the pharmaceutical industry for more than two and a half decades. As a product formulator, he has worked on various dosage forms that include tablets, soft gelatin and hard capsules, injectables and lyophilized formulations. At ACG, he heads the formulation R&D lab where he primarily leads new product development projects, new promotions and customer interface. He has several technical white papers and articles published to his credit.
