Polypeptide group offers wide range of products which includes liraglutide. In a once-a-day injectable glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist (glp-1 agonist) used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is an incretin mimetic stimulating the release and synthesis of insulin into the blood by the intestine in response to food. It is only active in the presence of high circulating glucose levels.
