  • News Evaluation of Hypersensitivity Reactions to Ferric Carboxymaltose in Iron - Deficiency Anemia Patients: A Multicenter Randomized Trial

Iron deficiency anaemia is a widespread nutritional condition affecting physical and psychological well - being globally. While oral iron therapy is the standard treatment, its effectiveness can vary due to multiple factors. This has led to the emergence of intravenous iron therapies, such as Ferric Carboxymaltose (FCM), as an alternative for patients with inadequate responses to oral iron. Concerns regarding hypersensitivity reactions have arisen with intravenous iron, necessitating a detailed investigation. In this study, we evaluate the safety and efficacy of FCM compared to oral iron therapy in adult patients with iron deficiency anaemia and heart failure. Our research encompasses animal and human trials, with guinea pig tests revealing a 0% hypersensitivity rate for FCM. Additionally, a clinical trial involving 100 human subjects from various regions demonstrates no instances of hypersensitivity reactions. These findings suggest that FCM is a safe alternative for patient...

  • News Coral Calcium: A Superior Marine-Derived Calcium Supplement manufactured by West Bengal Chemical Industries Ltd., Kolkata, India, for Bone Health and beyond

Calcium is an essential micronutrient, crucial for bone health and human metabolism. Deficiency in calcium can lead to conditions such as osteoporosis, rickets, epilepsy, and anemia. Although dietary intake of calcium through sources like dairy products, cereals, and tofu is common, the presence of phytic and oxalic acids in these foods can hinder calcium absorption. This often necessitates the use of calcium supplements, which are derived from various sources, including calcium carbonate ores, animal skeletons, marine shells, and crustaceans. Among these, marinederived calcium supplements, particularly coral calcium, have gained popularity due to their high safety profile, biological activity, and natural composition, which closely resembles human bone. West Bengal Chemical Industries Ltd. (WBCIL), India, specializes in producing high-quality coral calcium supplements from naturally occurring coral sand deposits. These supplements, composed primarily of calcium carbonate alo...
  • News The Science Behind Ferric Maltol and Its Health Benefits

Ferric maltol is an innovative oral iron therapy composed of a stable complex of ferric (Fe3+) iron and maltol (3-hydroxy-2-methyl-4-pyrone), a naturally occurring sugar derivative found in fruits and roasted barley. The complex is formed with a 3:1 iron-to-maltol ratio, which prevents the formation of iron hydroxide polymers, ensuring bioavailable iron at the neutral pH of the intestinal tract.
  • News Unlocking the Power of Magnesium Orotate for Enhanced Wellness

Magnesium, the fourth most abundant mineral in the human body, plays a vital role in over 300 biochemical reactions. Emerging Research Suggests Magnesium May Play a Role in Managing Neurological and Psychiatric Conditions. It’s crucial for muscle and nerve function, energy production, blood sugar control, and even bone health. However, with the depletion of magnesium in our soil and modern dietary habits, deficiencies are becoming increasingly common.Magnesium supplements effectively prevent and treat magnesium deficiency, a condition characterized by low blood magnesium levels. This is where magnesium orotate emerges as a potential solution.
  • News Unlocking the Benefits of Zinc Bisglycinate- Superior Bioavailability for Immune and Skin Health

Zinc, an essential mineral often overshadowed by its more glamorous counterparts, is a cornerstone of human health. Involved in over 300 enzymatic reactions, zinc plays a critical role in immune function, skin health, and cognitive function. While various zinc supplements are available, zinc bisglycinate stands out for its superior bioavailability and potential health benefits.

Zinc bisglycinate is a chemical compound characterized by its unique molecular structure and properties. Chemically, it is an amino acid chelated zinc with the formula C4H8N2O4Zn and a molecular weight of approximately 213.5 g/mol. In its structure, a zinc ion is coordinated to two glycine molecules through coordinate covalent bonds, forming a stable chelate complex (Zn(H2NCH2COO)2).

    Importance of chelation process

This chelation process enhances zinc’s solubility and bioavailability compared to other zinc salts. Physically, zinc bisglycinate is typically obser...
