L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate calcium is also known as (6S)-N5-Methyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrofolic acid Calcium Salt; L-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, calcium salt L-methylfolate; (6S)-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, calcium salt.

It’s the calcium salt of (6S)-N5-Methyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydrofolic acid (MTHF), which is the active metabolic form of folates in the body. MTHF is essential for a number of metabolic functions, including processes involved in the development and metabolism of CNS and the production of DNA and RNA, primarily in infancy, adolescence and pregnancy.
