Discover the range of organic mineral salts that serve as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients available from Dr. Paul Lohmann®.
Due to their favorable bioavailability, organic Mineral Salts frequently serve as a source of cations to counteract mineral deficiencies. Dr. Paul Lohmann® produces a broad portfolio of high-quality organic Mineral Salts - based on Calcium, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese, Potassium and Zinc - which are ideally suited as active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and are available including comprehensive API documentation.
Organic Ferrous Bisglycinate against Iron Deficiency Anemia
Dr. Paul Lohmann® is the world’s first manufacturer of Ferrous Bisglycinate as an active pharmaceutical ingredient (API), which is available with a DMF/ASMF for the registration of a drug at health authorities. The glycine chelate structure of the Ferrous Bisglycinate protects the highly reactive Iron from redox reactions in the gastrointestinal tract and thus prevents unpleasant side effects such as epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps [1].
Highly bioavailable Zinc and Potassium Salts
Organic Potassium and Zinc Salts with beneficial bioavailability are ideal sources of Minerals to counteract deficiency symptoms, e.g.:
- Potassium Gluconate is a readily water-soluble source of Potassium and is used to treat hypokalemia and associated symptoms such as hypertension, as well as respiratory and digestive problems.
- Zinc Gluconate and Zinc Citrate are excellent for replenishing Zinc levels in the body, which helps strengthen the immune system and promote wound healing.
