Dihydroartemisinin also known as arteannuin.Dihydroartemisinin is the active metabolite of all artemisinin compounds (artemisinin, artesunate, artemether, etc.) and is also available as a drug in itself.

Functions:
1. Dihydroartemisinin, is very effective anti-malaria.
2. Dihydroartemisinin is used for the treatment of tertian fever, and better than chloroquine in terms of time to suppress the pathogen. No adverse effects in clinical cases.
3. Dihydroartemisinin is especially useful for the treatment of cases resistant to chloroquine. It also cures cough.
