Product Description

D-Pantethine is a conjugate of vitamin pantothenic acid and low molecular weight aminothiol cysteamine. It is involved in various enzymatic reactions and acts as a precursor to coenzyme A, a crucial molecule in energy metabolism. It has great potential in the prevention of certain diseases, such as cataract formation, diabetes-related circulatory problems, and malaria-related complications. In addition, D-Pantethine has obvious lipid-lowering activity. Increasing evidence suggests that D-Pantethine (standard dosage 900 mg per day) significantly reduces serum triglyceride (-32 %), total cholesterol (-19 %), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) (-21 %) levels, and increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (+ 23 %) levels [1].
