Caffeic acid is widely distributed in many traditional Chinese medicinal plants such as artichoke, cardoon, and honeysuckle, and is a phenolic acid compound. Caffeic acid can shrink and solidify microvessels, reduce permeability, improve coagulation function and the number of white blood cells and platelets. It is commonly used in the prevention and treatment of various surgical and internal bleeding diseases. It has significant effects on gynecological bleeding diseases and is also used in chemotherapy of tumor diseases. It also has certain curative effect on diseases such as essential thrombocytopenia and aplastic leukopenia.
