ACID STOP is a class IIa medical device, having an anti-acidaction and containing calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, sodium citrateand simethicone.

The product is indicated for the treatment of burning and stomach pain caused by excess acidity. The product is also useful in treating symptoms associated with gastroesophageal reflux and dyspepsia (such as digestive difficulties, burning, heaviness).

INNOVATIVE FEATURES

ACID STOP formula is characterized by calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, sodium citrate and it is enriched with simethicone. Calcium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide and sodium citrate give the product a good ability to neutralize excess acidity in the gastroesophageal tract, responsible for the onset of heartburn. They are in fact basic salts, which by means of an acid-base reaction buffer the acidity of gastric juices and acid vapors produced at the gastroesophageal level, thus giving rapid relief from pain and heartburn due to hyperacidity and by exerting a protective and soothing action on the gastro-esophageal mucosa. The presence of simethicone, a substance that has the ability to decrease the surface tension of the gas bubbles present in the gastrointestinal tract facilitating its expulsion, reduces the sensation of bloating and abdominal distention. Clinical studies have demonstrated the safety and short-term efficacyof oral antacid combinations for the symptomatic treatment of burning and stomach pain associated with hyperacidity.
