Abdi İbrahim Receives 'Equal Opportunity Model' Certificate for Women's Employment

Abdi İbrahim has been awarded the 'Equal Opportunity Model' (FEM) certificate, developed by KAGIDER with the technical support of the World Bank, to promote gender equality in business life and enhance women's productivity. Deniz Daver, President of Human and Culture Group, expressed their happiness in receiving this certificate, stating, “This certificate, which acknowledges companies' sensitive approaches to gender equality and women's empowerment in employment, is an important indicator reflecting Abdi İbrahim's vision of inclusiveness. We see FEM certificate as a reward for our determined and continuous efforts in this field.

Abdi İbrahim, Türkiye’s healing power, leads the sector not only with its products but also with its investments in human resources and efforts in the field of inclusion. By prioritizing women's empowerment in employment and adopting policies that contribute to gender equality, Abdi İbrahim was recently awarded the “Equal Opportunity Model” (FEM) certificate, developed by KAGIDER with the technical support of the World Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and EY.

 

Since 2012, the FEM has been awarded to identify inequalities in processes such as recruitment, training, career planning, and development, and to prevent gender-discriminatory approaches in business life. The FEM certificate supports the private sector in promoting gender equality in business life and aims to increase the productivity of women in the workforce by fostering equality in employment and earnings.

 

Deniz Daver, President of Human and Culture Group, Dr. M. Oğuzcan Bülbül, Public Affairs, Sustainability & Corporate Communications Director at Abdi İbrahim, and KAGIDER Board Members Neşecan Çekici and Özlem Demirci Duyarlar attended the certificate delivery ceremony held at Abdi İbrahim Headquarters. Abdi İbrahim became the 57th organization to receive FEM Certificate.

We see FEM certificate as a reward for our persistent and ongoing efforts in this field.”

 

Speaking at the ceremony, KAGIDER Board Member Neşecan Çekici emphasized that the FEM certificate program is an exemplary model for ensuring gender equality in the business world in Türkiye and raising awareness on this issue. Çekici expressed her satisfaction with the increasing number of institutions receiving FEM certification and thanked Abdi İbrahim for its sensitivity to this issue.

 

KAGIDER Board Member Özlem Demirci Duyarlar stated that they believe egalitarian policies supporting the empowerment of women in business life, as in every field, will propel Türkiye forward. She said, “As the number of institutions receiving FEM certification increases, we are moving closer to our dream of an equal world.”
